In May of 2010, Tongue and Groove Theatre partnered with Austin’s The Long Center for the Performing Arts to present an encore performance of The Red Balloon, a stage adaptation of the 1956 French film Le Ballon Rouge.
Under the direction David Yeakle, the critically-acclaimed production featured original animation by Leah Lovise, and music composed and conducted by Justin Sherburn.
The production won five 2008 B. Iden Payne Awards and two Austin Critics’ Table Awards.
